 This project is funded by The Bridge Partnership under The EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (Peace II). The project incorporates several strands.
Firstly a new state-of-the-art ICT suite exists within the centre premises. This technology centre is equipped with the latest equipment. There is provision for twelve flat screen PCs all of which have wireless keyboard and mouse and each installed with state-of-the art software packages.
The suite covers the full Microsoft Office 2003 package. Microsoft Project is also available which may attract those individuals and groups involved in project management. Adobe Creative Suite package and Macromedia Studio MX are offered to those with a keen interest in print and web design, layout and animation. Groupmail Plus, bulk-mailing software, has been installed for the purpose of personalized, electronic mail shots and Sage Instant Accounts and Sage Instant Payroll are now available for those seeking to manage finances electronically.
The suite also has access to the Internet via the 2Mb broadband link facilitating high-speed access and advanced usage and performance. The room also hosts 13 digital cameras, a binding machine, scanners all accompanied with a high-end colour laser printer as well as a DeskJet A3 colour printer. Another attractive feature of the suite is the 42” Plasma TV fully equipped with a DVD player & Digital Camcorder. |

Under BITSE operates a "Community Loan Scheme" of personal computers, printers, scanners whereby social economy organizations or individuals can drop in to collect and return equipment to use on their own premises if desired for a very reasonable price. Loan can be either short or long term depending on individual requirements. |

The provision of subsidized training to social economy organisation's and their employees or volunteers and also to local individuals or organizations considering starting up an enterprise in a target sector is another strand of the BITSE Project. I.T. courses range from the very basic to the more advanced. E.g.s of such courses are IT For the Petrified, stages I & II, Introduction to the Internet and Email, Crash courses in all Microsoft Office Packages, SAGE Accounts, SAGE Payroll, Introduction to Adobe ® Photoshop ® with Edward Byrne Photography, Digital Cameras for the Absolute Beginner hosted by Brian Rooney. While there will be a standard portfolio of I.T. courses on offer, any organisation with a particular training need in mind can certainly be accommodated.

Banbridge Enterprise Centre is an accredited ECDL test centre. The accreditation is offered to both local individuals, businesses and social economy organizations alike.
